How many countries recognize gay marriage and why do gays try to paint America as being alone against it?

What changed in society for us to even consider gay marriage as something anywhere close to ';normal';?

How much further will our society decay over the next 50 years? Any predictions?How many countries recognize gay marriage and why do gays try to paint America as being alone against it?
Who cares? The USA is about equal rights, not ignorance and homophobia.How many countries recognize gay marriage and why do gays try to paint America as being alone against it?
';Just because you pack fudge for a living';

I'm a happily married, heterosexaul man.

you're the one living in the closet!

My wife and I could care less if you and your boyfriend get married, why should the government?

Report Abuse

Somehow, gays have managed to become a ';group'; just like minorities and feel that they deserve the same rights as say a black person should have. The problem is that you are born black and being gay is a choice.

They may say it isn't a choice but how then do you explain people that were gay that have gone straight?

The Constitution does not grant and therefore cannot protect the rights of gay people.

I believe that Iran has a very open mind about gay rights.

';Where in the constitution does it protect men's right to marry men?';

where in the constitution does it forbid same sex marriage.

i think you'll find that many countries don't recognise same sex marriage. i could be wrong but i believe that the majority of countries don't.
What a waste of time complaining about someones personal life. Comparing another country's beliefs has nothing to do with us. I think your claim that the gay community painting us as being the only is false. Maybe in comparison to other ';civilized'; countries.
Six: Canada, Belgium, South Africa, Spain, the Netherlands, and Norway. Sweden joins that list on May 1.

Neither marriage nor divorce is mentioned in the Constitution.
Apparently, in current American legal circles, foreign laws are only to be considered selectively. Example: most nations forbid the death penalty -- so we should too. But most nations don't recognize gay marriage -- so we should disregard that fact
Because the people complaining live in America. They're not going to speak out about unfair laws in a foreign country because it doesn't effect them. It doesn't make sense to complain about a law in Germany if you live in Scottsdale, AZ.
Obama wants to have open discussions with the President of Iran. Why doesn't he start with the question ';How does Iran feel about their gay population?';.
I don't care which countries recognize gay marriage, I do care that people such as yourself are trying to discriminate against them for no logical reason.

How is this an example of ';society decaying?';
Because in America, equality is clearly codified and all citizens in America are Constitutionally guaranteed the exact same rights as everyone else -- no matter if YOU like it or not.
Hell more counties around the world are killing gays is a government policy...in light of that I consider America pretty tolerant.
obama said he was against gay marriage too...

of course we all know he was lying just to get elected

pretty much like everything else he gasses on about
Live and let live everybody has a stone to cast.
