They used to say 2-4 weeks, but with budget cuts in California and Los Angeles, furlough days, and the like, it's taking a whole lot longer. It could be 6-8 weeks, or maybe even longer. Just keep asking, and it'll happen, ';when they get around to it';. Sorry for the frustration.

How long does it take to get a Marriage Certificate in Los Angeles County?
I just got married on the 9th of January and filed the paperwork on the 11th. It has been almost 3 weeks and they still haven't had it on file at the Norwalk office (where I filed) yet. How long does it take for the County Clerk office to put my marriage record on file and make it available for me to go down there and get copies?How long does it take to get a Marriage Certificate in Los Angeles County?
