What steps do we take after getting a marriage license?

My fiance is in the military. We know all about what we need to obtain a marriage license, now we just need to figure out what to do next. We'd like to either go to a courthouse or town hall, i suppose. But would rather not prefer to get a JP.

How do we go about ';getting married'; at a courthouse? And can they typically do this on a weekend? What steps do we take after getting a marriage license?
call the court house, they can tell which judge is doing marriages, and usually those Judges love doing weddings. Hey a happy event is better than running a trial for a gang member. It helps if you can bring your own witnesses, but if you can't (and you need two witnesses) the Judge can usually get his Secretary and one of the court clerks to fill in.

I don't know about weekends, but he's in the military, there is an option there. The chaplains can do a wedding all you have to to do is ask.

good luck and best wishes to you both, may your future be bright and shining, and may you love last forever. What steps do we take after getting a marriage license?
First call the court house and ask what time they do marriages and if they are open on the weekends. Then take both of you ID's, your marriage license and money to the court house and tell them you want to get married. They will have you sign the papers there infront of them and then they will have you wait and you will see a judge who will legally marry you.
